Effective security doesn’t require high costs or valuable space</title><description>You can save money&amp;mdash;and your parking spaces&amp;mdash;with a smarter surveillance setup.
With crime, vandalism, and lawsuits on the rise, many property owners are looking for better ways to protect their spaces. Lately, that&amp;rsquo;s led to a growing number of trailer-mounted surveillance systems popping up in parking lots across Southern California.
But the reality is: These trailers are not only expensive, they often take up one or more parking spots and require fuel, insurance, and monthly maintenance. Over time, those costs and disruptions can really add up.
A Smarter, Simpler Option
There&amp;rsquo;s a more streamlined way to monitor your property&amp;mdash;without sacrificing valuable space or blowing up your budget.
Our systems are compact, self-contained, and mount easily to existing poles or structures. No trailers. No permanent obstructions.
What About Remote Locations?

No internet? We&amp;rsquo;ve got cellular options.

Want to avoid monthly fees? A point-to-point wireless setup (starting around $200/site) can do the trick with no ongoing charges.

No power available? Solar panels with battery backup keep everything running reliably, even off-grid.

Smarter Surveillance, Less Monitoring
We do offer PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras&amp;mdash;but unless you have someone watching live feeds around the clock, we often recommend 360&amp;deg; cameras with AI analytics and email alerts. They're low-maintenance and incredibly effective.

The Truth About License Plate Recognition</title><description>
License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology is widely used for security, access control, and traffic monitoring. But there are many misconceptions about how it works&amp;mdash;especially when it comes to camera resolution and software capabilities.
More Megapixels Aren&amp;rsquo;t Always Better
A common mistake when setting up an LPR system is assuming that higher-resolution cameras mean better results. In reality, a 2-megapixel (MP) camera often outperforms an 8-megapixel (MP) camera for license plate capture. Why? Because distance, angle, and lighting have a much greater impact on readability than resolution alone.
LPR Software: What It Can and Can&amp;rsquo;t Do
Another misconception is that LPR software grants access to government databases to track vehicles. That&amp;rsquo;s not how it works. Instead, LPR software:

Captures an image of a license plate
Converts the image into text
Compares the plate number against a predefined list of authorized or unauthorized vehicles in your system

This makes it a powerful tool for security and access control, but it doesn&amp;rsquo;t provide personal driver information.
Need a Cost-Effective LPR Solution?
If you're looking for an affordable and effective LPR camera system, Loss Prevention Systems (LPS) is here to help. We specialize in solutions that optimize performance without unnecessary costs. Contact us today to learn more!

Tips for Powering up X-0 or CDX-0 Series Locks</title><description>If your older Kaba Mas X-0 or CDX-0 series lock isn&amp;rsquo;t powering up, you might be able to temporarily restore function by spinning the dial with a drill.
To do this, you can use a dial puller with a drill attachment or a rubber cup that fits over the dial, inserting a flat-head bolt in the center. Secure the dial puller or press the rubber cup onto the dial, then set your drill to reverse and spin the dial for a few seconds. Once the screen lights up and the numbers appear, continue spinning for a few more turns before entering your combination as usual.
After gaining access to your door or drawer, it&amp;rsquo;s best to upgrade to the new X-10 or CDX-10 lock models.
To order new X-10 or CDX-10 locks and for professional installation, LPS is here to help. You can call 888-266-5677 or email: info@2noloss.com
